When Jesus teaches us how to pray, he doesn’t give us magic words, or fancy, religious language. He gives us an invitation. He invites us to loosen our grip, to relax our hold on all of those things in our lives we’re trying to control. Or cover up. Or filter. Or photoshop.

You might say he invites us to take a seat, and have a conversation.
